My name is Pam,
I am a recent college graduate with an associate’s degree in graphic design and a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in technical writing. I am a member of my hometown’s chapter of the Toastmasters club, a lifetime member of Golden Key International Honor Society, and a member of the National Association of Independent Writers and Editors (NAIWE).
I have six years experience working in the printing and graphic art industry, two of which I worked for a small newspaper where my artwork often appeared on the front page or cover pages of special sections. I also have ten years experience working in the mortgage industry in a variety of positions: loan processor, mortgage underwriter and most recently, as a loan auditor. I have written and produced a variety of documents for my current employer, which includes training materials, business forms, memos and a user’s guide for the FHA Lending Insuring department.
My interests include art, science and technology, music, movies, history, health and wellness, green living, organic gardening and of course, writing. I love learning as much as I can about these and other topics, and because of this, I am an avid reader. I like cooking for friends and family and enjoy good company, good food and good wine, the effects of which I try to balance with lots of walking, rowing, yoga and Qigong.
I am an achievement oriented mortgage professional with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, strong analytical and interpretive skills and a good eye for designing aesthetically appealing and user friendly documents, which I am seeking to leverage into an entry-level technical communications position.
